About Us

“Gulfstream Guy” is a semi-retired investment researcher, writer and educator…who decided along with his wife and 3 kids that he needed a hobby! 10 years ago, he wandered into nearby Gulfstream Park (GP) in South Florida to check out the scene, and he was hooked. GP became his “happy place.”

But at 6’4” and nearly 60 years old, he was not going to be a jockey! So instead, he started HorseRacePlace.com to help others experience the same type of joy-filled, relaxing, entertaining journey he has.
